Silene acaulis Mount Snowdon description
Very dense, flat ground hugging plant that has miniature pink flowers on and off through the summer.
How easy is it to grow:
This is good for the front of a border, alpine bed, rockery, by a patio, in a tub and for planting in pathways and paving and it can be a little tricky in that it does need a soil that is well drained, but it mustn’t be too dry.
Common name: Mount Snowdon Moss Campion.

Can it be used for planting amongst paving?
Yes, it doesn’t mind being trodden on sometimes.

Well drained soil, also tolerates chalky soil.

When newly planted always keep it watered until the roots have grown down and it is able to find its own moisture.
If there is any die-back where whole branches are not green – then cut all lifeless ones out and it should grow and fill out the ‘hole’.
