Phormium Bronze description:

An excellent structural plant that gives interest and colour throughout the year.

Can tolerate a coastal aspect with a certain amount of salt laden air.

Good for a flower border or patioHow easy is it to grow:
Good within a sunny border, or by a patio.
It is easy provided that it is in well drained soil and it isn’t in an exposed position – in other words, it needs other plants nearby to act as a windbreak.

Well drained soil.

Hardiness and, or, lifespan:

Fairly hardy – survives the winters here in East Anglia. Put it in a sheltered spot.

Care and maintenance:

When newly planted always keep it watered until the roots have grown down and it is able to find its own moisture.
Cut out any damaged leaves in late spring.

Size of plant:

Height 120 cm.
Spread 80 cm, but low plants can be put in near it’s base.
