Codonopsis clematidea description
Light blue bell-flowers that have a hidden beauty on the inside of the bell – flowers in the summer. For this reason it is best planted in a raised alpine bed, rockery or in containers.
If planted on it’s own it will sprawl gently around, but if near taller neighbours, or given support, it will gently climb.
It has a strong, unusual aromatic foliage.
How easy is it to grow:
Good for the alpine bed or rock garden. It can be classed as being a little tricky because it is slow coming into growth and slugs and snails like it.
