Can tolerate a coastal aspect with a certain amount of salt laden air.
How easy is it to grow:
Good for the front of a border, a bank, cascading over a wall or by a patio but what used to be an easy plant has now become a bit more difficult due to it’s leaf problems (see ‘Care and Maintenance’ below).

Care and maintenance:
When newly planted always keep it watered until the roots have grown down and it is able to find its own moisture.
It does benefit from a very hard trim in the summer to get rid of straggly foliage.
Attractive to Cabbage White Butterfly caterpillars that damage a lot of leaves.
It can get Downy Mildew – if a lot of leaves turn yellow then trim hard.
Also can get White Blister – cut out infected stems.
