Aubrieta always looks spectacular when in flower and this variety even looks good throughout the year with it’s variegated foliage.
It is a very compact and has attractive mid blue flowers that appear in the spring.

This is good for the front of a border, alpine bed, rockery, by a patio or in a tub and is fairly easy to grow and the leaf problems that Aubrieta’s get are not so visible on this variety (see ‘Care and Maintenance’ below).

When newly planted always keep it watered until the roots have grown down and it is able to find its own moisture.
Attractive to Cabbage White Butterfly caterpillars that damage a lot of leaves.
Fairly resistant to Downy Mildew – if it gets a lot of yellow leaves then cut back.
Also can get White Blister – cut out infected stems.
