Plants for semi shade

If you have got a dappled area that does not receive full sun it can be difficult to find plants that thrive in that spot.
Here is a selection of plants that will be happy in semi shade.
Another term for this is partial shade and it is where the plants can either get the sun for some hours each day, or the sun isn’t far away and they receive a fair amount of light but not direct sunshine.
